The course teaches literary elements that construct literary works and reflect the creative thinking of its writer and the social context of the text. By understanding how the writer makes us of the literary elements, students will be able to appreciate and analyze literature. The course applies interactive teaching methods, independent work, and discovery learning. Students will be guided to analyze social issues depicted in the text, notice the narrative strategies, and practice presenting and discussing their findings with others in the class to enhance their understanding of the text.
